12 Financial Freedom Books Useful For Your Money Life!

Updated: Jul 5

On your journey to financial freedom, it’s important to have perspective and inspiration. Here are books that have helped and guided me during my own financial freedom journey. These are books I can read again and again because I learn something new every time I read them. I recommend you read them too. Savvy tip for free reading: your local libraries and free online libraries! 😉

She tapped into my inner badass with these books! It’s a 4-part badass series of books! I really enjoyed her comical and straightforward writing style. I’d say reading this was like having a mentor in a book! I love it when I read books that feel like mentors! 😁 She’s down to earth and gives realistic examples we all can relate to! View the other books HERE!

This book is a map to your financial health. I like that JL Collins wrote this book for his 24-year-old daughter at that time to give her a guide to navigate her finances. It´s quite helpful for everyone. He explains everything you need to know about investing, saving and managing your money. He has case studies, his book is fact checked to prove it and he provides explanations and examples to help you understand. Like he said, it is the simple path. I highly recommend having this book on your shelf! Another mentor in a book that you can refer back to at every stage of your financial life.

A great book and YouTube series that guides you step-by-step to improving your finances. Like JL Collins, Ramit Sethi teaches you all the financial vocabulary and gives you case study examples from his own experience and his clients. He also speaks down to earth with some humorous examples about banks, credit cards and all the things an average person does in their day-to-day life with their money. Definitely a must have on your bookshelf. Another well mentored guidebook.

You should know by now that I absolutely love having a mentor feeling from a book! This is another one. He goes through everything you need to know, gives you tips and resources and he shows you everything with diagrams and exercises to help you get started NOW! When I read this book, I immediately took action with stocks and investing (something I had always procrastinated due to lack of knowledge). He encourages you to take action for your financial health, reminds you that procrastination is costing you money, and that you can start now with $5. I highly recommend this book to add to your library.

Said to be a book about dreams and adventures but it’s more than that. It’s about our journey through life and the ups and downs (Just like our money and the stock market). I like this book because it doesn’t paint a perfect picture of life. It gives us the reality of a situation any time we dare to make our dreams come true. Don’t give up!

It took me a while to read this book because Mark Manson spoke about a variety of philosophies and had me thinking about things. It was a fun read actually. For me, it helped me see life as it is and not to take it as seriously as we often tend to do as humans. It´s a mindset and philosophical kind of book spoken from his point of view with added examples. I enjoyed it. If you´re in the mood for something different, or if it feels like you are losing hope, give it a read.

I LOVED this book! You might be wondering why I am recommending philosophical books about our mental health, physical health and spiritual health in financial freedom. Health is wealth! And like Lauren Hill sang, ¨Everything is everything.¨ When your mental, spiritual (your inner spirit) and physical health are aligned, you are in a better state to handle the challenges that you may face in reality. He has you look inside yourself and reflect on how that affects the things around you. This book was deep and to the point in 136 pages. I recommend this book for a perspective on life. It can help make money problems seem less difficult.

This has been the easiest to read guide I’ve seen on how get your financial shit together. She breaks it down into easy tasks that anyone can understand. This was the first book I read right out of college that helped me understand the nuances of entrepreneurship. It has a lot of good information in it on how to mold your mindset for success. Kiyosaki created a 14 book Rich Dad series. I didn´t read any of his other books so I can´t speak on them. In general, you can read his books to show you a different perspective than your own.

Dave Ramsey has many books talking about the different levels of financial success from getting out of debt to saving for retirement. He also has a workbook that accompanies this book, templates and a program if you want to learn his methods directly. Similar to Kiyosaki, this book good to give you another perspective than your own. I also recommend reading his book The 4 Stages Of Building Wealth: How to Achieve Financial Freedom Before Leaving Your Day Job.

This book has some gems in it. I’d say this book is a great resource to give you some ideas about what side hustles are and what kind of side hustles are out there. Like most books these days, this book primarily highlights interviews from people with their side hustle success. When I picked up this book to read, I was primarily interested in knowing the types of side hustles and HOW to do them. I like this book because every now and then at the end of an interview chapter, Guillebeau would summarize a side hustle and give tips for anyone to use. A good resource for ideas! Check out his other books here!

I really enjoyed reading this book for the same reason as reading Chris Guillebeau´s book: It has a lot of ideas in it. It´s full of interviews from many different people that talk about their side hustles and how they did it. A variety of side hustles like dropshipping, pawn brokerage, digital marketing and more. If you are having a hard time thinking of a side hustle you could do and want to read about how others did it, this book is another good resource of ideas!
