Do you need help with your Rent/Mortgage payments? Or, maybe you don’t have enough money to pay for water or electricity this month? Perhaps you need to find a service that gives free/discounted food to people in need? Thankfully, there are state and local government programs that can offer assistance to you. There may be some restrictions that apply but below you will find list of some official agencies that can assist you with your living expenses. We all experience hard times in life and it is important to have your resources available to help you when times get rough.

  2. U.S.A. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Rental Assistance, Rent Relief, Public Housing, Homeownership, and more

  3. USA Government Benefits and Financial Help Find government benefits and financial help. Disability, utilities, housing, illness, death, education, food, retirement, and more

  4. The Salvation Army USA Rental, utilities, food pantry, thrift stores, and more

  1. Consumer Resources | Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Educational Tools & Guide for your Financial Life in USA

  2. MissingMoney.com | Search for Unclaimed Property USA and Canada official website of unclaimed properties and financial assets that have been turned over to the state for safe keeping but a person can reclaim ownership with documentation

  3. Find Help A place to find a variety of free/low-cost resources and programs in your area to help you pay with food, housing, goods, education, transportation, and more

  4. Thrift Stores. Do a Google search for Thrift stores in your area. Most of the times, they have sales and deal days where you can get some items 50% or more off   

  5. Find Your Local Food Bank | Feeding America Food Banks collect food and Food Pantries give out food to the people. You can get free food at a food pantry (certain restrictions, such as residence to the area, may apply.)
