Below, I´ve given some YouTube channels that I’ve used as additional material in my own English lessons for my students. These can help you practice and learn.

General Tips for Listening and Comprehension Skills:

  • Listen Carefully

  • Hear Phrasal Patterns [Similar to listening to music and singing]

  • Increase your vocabulary

  • Come up with questions about the text you are reading

  • Use context clues

  • Listen for the main idea, not small details

  • Write what you heard. Take mental/physical notes

  • Break it up into smaller sections

  • Take your time and be patient. No rush, no stress

  • Listen at different speeds

  • Choose to watch things you understand in your own native language

  • Listen to what you enjoy
